*Special Session Title: Industrial Green Microgrids: Carbon-Neutral Solutions for Energy-Intensive Sectors

Under the global carbon neutrality wave, the industrial sector contributes over 60% of carbon emissions, compelling energy-intensive industries such as steel and chemicals to reconstruct their energy systems through green microgrids. However, traditional industrial energy systems face three critical challenges:
- Low renewable energy penetration rate coupled with high fossil fuel dependence;
- Limited adjustability of industrial loads that cannot accommodate highly stochastic and fluctuating generation-side resources;
- Absence of integrated solutions balancing safety, economic viability, and environmental sustainability across planning, operation, regulation, and institutional mechanisms.
To enable the green transition of industrial sectors, it is imperative to conduct systematic research on the typical architectures, evolutionary patterns, and key enabling technologies of industrial green microgrids. This section focuses on delivering scenario-specific solutions for current industrial applications while demonstrating the practical engineering value of green microgrid implementations.
Topics(including but not limited to):
- Evolutionary Forms and Solution Pathways of Industrial Green Microgrids
- Green Data Centers Based on Computing-Power Synergy
- Green Hydrogen-Based Steel Smelting
- Urban Rail Transit Systems Driven by Green-Intelligent Integration
- Petroleum and Chemical Industries Under Green Manufacturing Frameworks

Prof. Lin Cheng, Tsinghua University, China
Prof. Cheng has long been engaged in research on power system operational reliability, energy internet planning and design, and security control. He has led the development of key technologies such as reliability optimization for active distribution networks and wide-area coordinated control of power systems. He spearheaded the establishment of critical standard systems for energy internet planning and pioneered a multidimensional reliability assessment method for "generation-network-load-storage," addressing key technical challenges in ensuring the security and stability of high-renewable-penetration power grids.
                                    He has led or participated in over 20 national key R&D projects and contributed to two international standards and two national standards. His achievements include two first prizes, four second prizes, and four third prizes for provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress, as well as one first prize for technological invention. He holds 68 granted invention patents, has published three monographs, and has authored 315 SCI/EI-indexed papers.
